Update.

Well, it's been a bit since I've written, so here goes. Apparently, people at my school don't notice that I'm actually allowed to participate in gym now, so I can just sit out. Yay for ignorant health departments! Additionally, I managed to bomb a science test, which was only lightened by passing tests in three of my other classes. I've been reading a lot about OpenMoko, this Linux-based phone platform, and it seems to be compatible-ish with a Palm Treo. The question is, do I sacrifice a stable, mediocre OS for an unstable, good OS? What do you think? Also, I'm now working full-time on part-time projects, putting off fixing my PHP scripts. This includes drawing comics, writing stupid encryption algorithms, fixing my teacher's band's website, learning script.aculo.us, and writing blog posts. Wewt, my so-far undisclosed project, should be finished and all polished up for a late December release. Finally...well, I can't think of anything else. I'll post again in about a week, if I feel like it. I'm sure you have better blogs to read. :P

An Open Letter to the RH School District.

Rush-Henrietta School District:

I have recently noticed your choice of rehiring the alleged criminal Lynn Taliento, following her release from jail. I can only say that this choice somewhat disturbs me; disregarding whether she is guilty, or not. The fact that you would immediately hire someone who has been released from jail (and into a building full of children, no less) astounds me. Honestly, I think we need a district who cares a bit more about our kids; the children from her class admitted to having their social security numbers requested! I don't know about anybody else, but (albeit undetermined) this makes me feel very unsafe. Doesn't it make you feel unsafe, RH? I'll admit, I don't have the information needed to determine whether this woman is guilty or not. But until a verdict is reached, I'd prefer not to have her in my school. Thank you, RH District, for taking the time to read this. Or did you not?
:-)

Decode this entry. (WARNING: the preceding link has somewhat explicit language that you may find inappropriate, yet completely hilarious. Thank you, Ze Frank, for your idea of punctuation substitution.)

Mask Theory: Part II

Since my "Mask Theory" post, I've had several interesting conversations on the subject, and have decided to post a follow-up. Most of the conversations I've had have started with a slightly more colloquial version of my theory being a laughable claim, which I've tried to disprove on numerous occasions. In fact, my theory is taking effect in myself. I find myself being more articulate and outgoing, much like my avatar, as opposed to how I used to act. Granted, some people don't like this, but I do. Of course, I'm not the only person this has happened to. There are several of my friends in Second Life who have told me they yell a lot in Second Life, for things they would never yell about in real life. Albeit a bit hard to track in Teen SL, I'm sure the Main Grid has these types of things everywhere. I'd write a longer, more detailed post, but I'm not allowed to go to the Main Grid (access to which I would need to perpetuate the following post I had planned). So, I'm cutting it off here.
