Update on Me
Okay, let me catch you up on the past month or so of my life, seeing as that I haven't posted in awhile. I got a job, bought an Xbox 360, played the Xbox 360, learned some new programming techniques, played my Xbox, looked for a 1GB flash drive, and played my Xbox. Let's go into some more detail, though. My 7th grade year is coming to a close, and I don't have a whole lot to show for it, minus science and math classes. I can't say that, out of those two classes, I really LEARNED anything I didn't know, and even in those two, not a whole lot more than I do. I write up LSL2 programs for email and script update servers in homeroom, I watch animated movies in chorus, I nearly fall asleep in Social Studies watching static filled VHS copies of "The Long Walk Home", starring the oh-so-interesting actress Whoopi Goldberg, I go to science and learn about ecosystems (yeah, we've already sped by teaching what I didn't know right into teaching what I do), head to my lunch for a half-hour or so, then go to ELA to read books by Julius Lester (I swear, if I have to read one more book on slavery or civil rights, I will snap. I get that it was a big chunk of history, but 30 weeks of school big? I think that the school board feels a bit TOO bad about slavery.), head to math to speed back to 5th grade probabilities after learning one thing out of one book in the year, and then go to Spanish. Really, I find that Spanish is my only class that I DON'T dread going to. Honestly, I learn more out of playing Second Life than at school.
